Xbox Controller Guts

So did you think I actually worn an Xbox 360 controller on my head a few days back.  Well yes I did, but I did take the innards out because it would be awfully heavy had I not.

Screwdriver for the screws

Wrench to pry the hinged pieces together

Hammer and Pliers to rip out more stuff

Who knew the buttons were so tall

Need to cover it back up so it doesn't look so narly or become scratchy.

I must thank my team Admin for supplying me with a used controller for this adventure.

Quest Box

This trinket box wants to give you a quest!

Or maybe it holds a reward inside. OR maybe it wants to reward you and then give you another quest! You won't know until you open it up!

I hand-painted this little box using two shades of brown acrylic paint (to simulate a wood stain while giving me better control over shading), and then added details using a high-quality gold paint and black to create shadows. The gold corners gives it that campaign-style touch like tiny metal brackets. I thought about making the question mark yellow, but I liked the gold so much I decided to stick with it instead of adding another color.

Recycled Clay Drying Rack

This post is a little random, but it shows how sometimes you don't need to spend extra money to by crafting supplies

I needed a way to dry my cray projects without leaving a flat imprint of the surface it was driving on.  I decided that my shoving a skewer through it I could than spike it through a Styrofoam board to keep it up.  But that costs money and I didn't have one on hand immediately.

Was able to makeshift a great replacement.
Fill up a paper shopping bag with something fluffy, like plastic grocery bags.  Than start puncturing holes through it with the skewers and used it to prop up my sticks.  :)

Silver Superhero Bracers

I made more superhero bracers! Okay, so these could also work for a bad guy.

These bracers are made from shiny metallic silver vinyl, lined with black cotton. There are two snaps for closures.
